Why is the sound on my device not working

The sounds on all my apps (Pandora,youtube,peacock etc has stopped working

Try and reboot into safe mode and see if they work.

The process for turning on Safe mode is as follows:

Press and hold the Power button.

Tap and hold Power off.

When the Reboot to safe modeprompt appears, tap again or tap OK.

Your device will then restart and it will say “Safe mode” in the bottom-left corner.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it only sound through the main speaker that doesn't work? What about using Bluetooth or wired headphones?

What about ringtones and notifications -- do you hear those?
