Why is there random Chinese letters on websites?

why is there random chinese letters on websites?

So Recently when i visit websites whenever there are icons on the sites i visit they initially show up as chinese letters before turning into normal icons.

Good question. I just had that on tabs on Firefox. I couldn't even close the program. I used Task Manager to kill the task, waited a few minutes, then ran FF again and it seems to be working.

The great Firewall of China is trying to take over the internet?

They Are The Fonts Which Are Not Supported By The Browser Sometimes Or Are Ads By Chinese Companies

On the tabs in the browser - disappearing when the tab is the active one? Are we using CSS 9 or something now? (I've been retired too long.)
