Why is this phone still stuck on the July 1st security update?

if you want me to guess, which I assume you do because you asked, I would say that their engineers are busy working on Android 13 and 1uy... 4.5? 5? and I'll letting the August and September security patches fall by the wayside in order to get it finished.

Flip 4 been on july since we got it no updates yet still waiting for the first one

Directly from Samsung but I haven't heard any carrier specific phones getting an update

I just got a 14 pro max and that phone already has a software update lol. Feels like Sammy forgot about the Flip 4. My S22 ultra was getting timely updates.

The flip had a day one update as well. Pretty standard for phone releases. Seems longer than it is, but the flip 4 hasn't even been out a month yet lol.

Very Interesting! Mine showed 1 July -- pressed on it -- got "Must restart to complete the update" notice. After restart. Google Play System Update now shows 1 August.

So what is affected by this update? Is this something I need to check every month?

It's funny because Google Play system update u can do this biometric settings or go to about phone>software information , looks like Samsung put in 2 places same thing though.
