Why is wifi automatically turning on when I do screen mirroring?

can't turn off Wi-Fi to use screen mirroring

Hi there i have an galaxy s3 when i try and use screen mirroring my Wi-Fi will auTomatically turn on which prevents mirroring from Working. Have tried everything still won't work. Force stop apps, turned off Wi-Fi, optimizer everytHing still can't turn off. Please help. Thank you in advance

You mirror the phone to the TV via wifi, so that's not what's keeping mirroring from working. But if it's not a Samsung TV, it won't mirror. (And Chromecast [the app] won't mirror to Chromecast [the device] on the S3 yet Cast your Android screen from the Chromecast App.) You might try a Miracast device.
