Why isn't any video playing?

[Android Central Question]

My phone isn't playing any video from the gallery.. This problem can be fixed by installing other apps like vlc media player... But the thing is it isn't playing youtube videos also... Whenever I open a video on YouTube the sounds plays but the screen appears black... How can I fix it?

Which device and gallery , different manufacturer have different settings.
