Why isn't do not disturb working as expected?

do not disturb not working as expected

I have my do not disturb enabled and scheduled to mute everything between 1am and 8am. Today I realised i wasn't getting notifications or any noises at all during the day.. I don't know how long for except i was getting clock alarm audio this morning.

I checked the volume and it ws at max.
I disabled the function and now i'm getting all sounds.
I checked the schedule times and they are fine.

I've re enabled it so i don't get disurbed over night tonight.

Any idea whats going on? I'ts been working normally with these settings since i got the phone.

Last night was the first time I noticed my Do Not Disturb not working also.

Do not enable do not disturb manually. Instead set 5he times it should be active. Then pick the types of notification you want to let through

thanks for your reply. i've disabled the function and the scheduler is set - which is the state i think it has always been in up to now.

What i don't understand is why it's worked normally for months and as far as iknow i haven't changed anything!
