Why isn't my GS5 (used) connecting to my pc?

my GS5 (used) its not connecting to my pc

hi all i jus bought an GS5 (used) its unlocked but im trying to connect it to my pc its making the sound like if its connecting but its not registering and the options on my phone is not coming up either and it frustrating me because i would like to download my music so can anyone help??

Did you install the Samsung phone usb drivers on your pc?

If you have a micro SD card connect it directly to the PC, put the music on, then put in phone. Or you can use a third party app such as Airdriod to send files wirelessly. I've experienced the same as you and while there may well be a fix, there are also several easy ways around the problem
