Why isn't my Moto E charging up after battery drained to zero?

Moto E not charging up after battery drained to zero.

My MOTO E battery got drained to zero percent and now its not charging. Its like an hour and it is still showing zero percent. When ever i press power up button, screen lits up and says zero percent, nothing more than that. I tried the method of pressing the power on and volume button also, but it is not working.

Please Help

Welcome to Android Central! Let it charge on a wall outlet (not a computer USB port) for at least 4 hours undisturbed, without trying to power it on--it may need that much time to charge up enough so that it can sustain the boot process. In general, avoid letting your battery completely die--if you do it too often, it can decrease the battery's overall lifespan.
