Why isn't my phone turning on?

I have an HTC desire 626 that I got recently in December. Today I was using it throughout the day, and around 4 pm, while it was charging I went to turn it on but it didn't. The screen was black and no activity has been happening. The light that goes on when it's charging is still on. I have no clue what is happening. Please Help!

Hi, if it's a new device you should contact the seller and ask for a replacement as it sounds like the device is faulty. Have you tried using an alternative charger to see if that works? also have you got the phone wet or damaged it?

Hi, I seem to have the similar problem. Yesterday evening I locked my phone and i put it on my desk. The next morning when i woke up , I couldn't turn it on. At first I thought that maybe my battery died but when I tried to charge it , the red light that usually appears just kept flashing on and off.
Please advise me , what should I do?
