Why isn't my shared calendar displaying on my S4 MINI?

Shared Calendar Not Displaying S4 MINI

Hello,

I’ve searched on the web without success on how to fix my shared calendar issue.

I have an S4 Mini and am on Android V 4.4.2
I use the standard calendar on the phone and I have shared my calendar with my husband.
He can see all my notes…etc…no problem.
He also uses the standard calendar on the phone (he has the same S4 Mini).
He has shared his calendar with me but I can not see any of his appointments or notes.
I have added his calendar, “all calendars” is ticked but no luck at all.
We have double checked his settings and he has not restricted my permissions, all this was set/applied on a pc rather than the phone.

Please can someone help it’s driving both of us crazy.

Welcome to Android Central! I don't have an S4 Mini, so I can't tell you exactly where to look in the Calendar settings--but for most Android calendar apps, you can choose which calendars to sync, and in a separate menu, which calendars to display. If you have your husband's calendar set to sync but not to display, it won't show up. If you have set to display but not to sync, it won't update properly (and therefore may not show you any of the information either).
