Why isn't the camera working?

[Android Central Question]

I have a A21 galaxy that was taking photos fine on September 9th. All attempts to take a photo with it today and yesterday failed. It loads the camera app, makes the click sound when I press the volume button, pauses on the image as though it's saving it, the little image on the bottom left goes to the image I've taken a photo of, but then the photo is nowhere on my phone. Sometimes the app hangs without returning to the lens view and sometimes it returns to the lense view but hangs after a few seconds anyways. It's not the storage that's the problem - it saves downloads and screenshots fine. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the Camera app set to save photos to the SD card? If so, try changing to Internal Storage.

Try clear data then force stop the camera app also
