Why my jbl xtreme 3 does not update the 2022 firmware?

[Android Central Question]

When i connect my xtreme 3 speaker to the Jbl portable app, the app says my speaker's "software is up to date". The current software is the 0.1.3.0 while the 0.1.8.8 update was released a while back. Why the app does not show me the latest update?
