Why no video editing?

I have a nexus on which takes really good video. I would like to edit/trim my videos before uploading or emailing them. Why is there not the ability to do this on android. I am sure people want it.

I am also going to be an Android newbie and would think that Android would have a solution to video editing?

I predict that this is the Golden Age for Android. With a huge new influx of users getting the Evo and other devices. Android is growing by leaps and bounds. My point is I think all kinds of apps, including this, will be coming very soon.

So you've searched and haven't found an app? Or are you asking why it isn't out-of-the-box?

There is no such app. I find it hard to believe. Its a big market and video editing is essential in the uploading to youtbe era.

If it doesn, I can't find it in the app. Unless it's online

It had it last year when all the android phones were shooting garbage video quality. Now that we have better phones that take much better video they removed it. I dussapointed that no developer has made such an app. If you want to shoot a lot of YouTube video you would be better off with the iPhone. Its a serious omission.

I would love it too (coming from a 3GS). But remember, the iPhone just got video (with editing) last year so I am sure Android will catch up soon.

Give it time guys. I bet we see an editor by the end of summer, probably sooner. Got to love 3rd party developers!

It'll happen eventually, I think. Now with the iPhone 4 and its video editing capability, I'm sure we'll see something for Android soon...

It's after summer and still no video editor, other than to trim down the video size. No effects tools and such available.

Still looking for a good package.
