Why , on my LG G3, when the charger is plugged in and the phone is on, does the charge drop.

The only way I can get the charge to increase is to turn the phone off. Then the phone will fully charge.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone plugged into a wall outlet or a computer USB port? Are you actively using the phone when you notice this, or is it sitting idle?
