Different phones (and even the same phone from a different carrier) can have slight variations in their signal icons. You're getting appropriate download speeds?

Depends on the carrier and where you are. Were both of those recorded in the same location, one after the other? It's a fairly wide discrepancy.

I'm on T-Mobile, and my download speed on LTE can be anywhere from only a few Mbps to 60-70 Mbps. The signal strength doesn't always matter -- I can sometimes see slow speeds despite 4 bars.

The sites should give about the same reading, although it might also depend on the server being used for the speedtest. In any case, the 51.6 Mbps download speed in the second screenshot is completely consistent with normal LTE speeds.

It's nothing to worry about. Pixels only say "LTE," without any "4G" mentioned. LTE is 4G by definition, so it's there.

I can't say that for sure, since I don't have that phone. Hopefully someone else with the same situation can answer.

My X4 on Verizon also shows LTE. That doesn't bother me, since as noted, LTE is by definition 4G.

What does bother me a bit is that unlike my previous phone (a Moto E5 Play), there are no up/down arrow indicators under the LTE legend. It is completely blank.

It was nice to see even attempts to download or upload.

Good point. I hadn't noticed that until now.
