Why Samsung Galaxy S6 will not turn on after laying on jetech charging pad for minutes?

My galaxy s6 will not turn on after being on jetech charging pad for minutes. the blue light comes on when placed on the pad, but it will not turn on

If the battery is on zero charge when you place it on the charging pad then a few minutes charge will not be sufficient. Leave it on charge over night, if it then fails to boot the battery may be dead.
