You see that is called Bait & Switch. Regardless of whether or NOT the ads were created and printed weeks ago is not relevant. Best Buy must put in clear view and notify customers that the ad is a misprint and they are waiting for the phone to be released by Verizon.

They have the obligation both ethically and legally to do so. Otherwise the FTC would find this of great interest.

Its not bait and switch. All ads printed have a disclaimer 'selection/quantity may vary by store'. With huge national companies, sometimes some stores won't have something that is in the ad because they just don't carry it in their store.

There's also the fact that there is no sale price; the definition of bait and switch is advertising something as being at a certain sale price, and then not having enough (or any) of that product so selling them something else.

Oh, and your point is moot because every best buy that sells verizon has correction notices in full view.
