Why we hate Apple!!!

Why? This is Android Central, which has nothing to do with Apple.

I'm sure there are other Galaxy forums for you fanboys to gather and rant; don't ruin this one, "galaxyboy."

You never see a thread like this on iMore, only Android users feel the need for these kind of threads, compensating for something maybe lol? Anyways, since this is about Apple, let me chime in, I used Android for 3 years before I ever owned an Apple product but now, everything pales in comparison when it comes to quality, going from Android to iOS was like trading in a 1996 Ford Escort for a 2014 BMW! Happy Android boys?

We have a common music library legally purchased, in our family laptop. We can't share it between our iOS devices. If Apple wants to stop piracy, they should build their iTunes to recognize legal & pirated music. "Blanket Rule" to increase AppStore revenues is audacity. If my family can enjoy our music which we paid for in our home system, we should be able to enjoy in our devices which we paid for.

And what's with Bluetooth only for dongles? Can't share camera photos, or does Apple have a copyright on my face?

Sent from my SG4 using Android Central app.

I will say that iTunes is a chore to use and the worst part of using my iPhone. But you can play pirated and legal music just fine using it. You can also share just fine with up to 5 other computers (this actually only applies to video now as iTunes music is DRM free) and an unlimited number of iOS devices.

What are you talking about? You can authorize up to 5 devices to play from a single library.

My mom uses her office laptop to sync contacts and calender to her iphone. When she connects to the family media server, iPhone wants to "overwrite contents". Apple says you cannot connect to more than 1 PC, which is not only an ineffective way of controlling piracy, but a draconian policy in an era when we have 2-3 electronic devices per person per family. Who are they (Apple) to tell us how to use the devices we paid full money for? Their weekly wages comes from the cash we (consumers) pay. Its like Ford selling you a car & putting a condition "streets are fine, lanes & avenues are not".

No such problems with the Androids & Nokias in the family, who have far more features & bluetooth that actually works.

Hi Sting7k, thanks for your clarification. Before I respond, let me state that I don't want pirated music. It's music that we as a family purchase & enjoy.

My point is that 1 iphone cannot be synced with many computers. Just video is not good enough. Androids offer the flexibility of syncing anything from any computer.

The only positive point about an iphone is good quality hardware & decent camera.

To the defence of the Android fanboys on the forum, the guys over at Crackberry are even worse IMHO. Few are the days where an Apple related thread is not posted. I love the ones where they rant about raving lunatic iSheep that accost them in clubs and on the street for their choice of platform. Those threads are pretty fun to browse.

And now we're dealing with a little Apple fanboy taking his shot.

You're on an Android forum raving about an iPhone, yet accusing Androids users as feeling the need to compensate for something? Yes, that makes perfect sense.

iPhone's, lol. Using them feels like I'm back in elementary school, with all the rules and restrictions. I couldn't imagine using a device in 2013 that looked identical to it's predecessor from 2007. At least you kids get an icon pack this year! Hell yeah, bring that innovation, Apple!

Thing is, people who are sure about themselves don?t usually need reassurance of like minded beings. You know what they say about school yard bullies.

I still visit Android, and WPCentral and others, because I am a technology guy, but it really irritates me when fans start pointless threads like this, let's hate on so and so for no logical reason. And you know what the sad thing is? Some people will believe everything they read here because I did when I used to frequent this site, again, I used Android before I ever owned an Apple product and I hated Apple just because of threads like this. Then my wife got an Iphone and after playing with the an iPhone for the first time I was like, wait a minute, there are phones out there with no LAG? There are phones that do not crash? There are phones I do not need to wait for an update for a year or Two? There are phones that would integrate, and with no help from third party products, with a tablet, a TV, and a laptop? Fast forward and I have iPhones, iPad, Apple TV and MacBook and all my content is integrated on any device I use in my house! Again, Ford to BMW!

You never see a thread like this on iMore,

That's not true.

There's definitely things I like about iOS and the iPhone. So I wont participate in a mindless dressing down of the iPhone. But I will say that everyone has their own preference and that doesn't reflect good or bad on any one device as a whole. Some people on here like to lurk around Android forums to defend their iPhones whenever it gets brought up. Chalk it up to being a fan of technology or whatever else justifies the odd behavior. Either way, right now Android fits my needs better. When Apple makes a 4.7" screen and allows me to personalize my device, I will probably purchase one and give it a shot. With Android, I feel like i'm purchasing my device. With Apple it feels more like a Lease. For some, that's acceptable but for me I am not satisfied with a lease. I've read the Steve Jobs biography and read a lot of the quotes from the upper management in that company and I just got uncomfortable with the way they spoke about the consumer. It left a bad taste in my mouth, but at the same time i'd love to have a device built with the same attention to detail that Apple uses. If I could have the build of an iPhone, the size of an Android and the Operating System of Android i'd be in heaven. (And don't tell me that's the HTC One because I don't feel the build is as good yet).

And that's very good that all works for you.

Ford to BMW? Babaha. I'm sorry life experience has lead you to believe that. Each has their pro and cons, that's the beauty of choice.

But, again, this is an Android forum, which I understand you may not have realized based on the cryptic title of the website, but now you know. I'm sure there are plenty of other places on the internet where you can find other silly Apple fanatics.

They're cute little toys, though, I'll give you that. But going from my experiences with Android, switching from Android to iOS seems to be the equivalent of going to jail; locked down, no freedom. For being considered smartphones, iPhone's sure are pretty dumb.

That's not actually the problem you described earlier, so...

We are a prideful nation promoted by large corporations and self desires to be the best.
MY car is better, MY house is bigger, and MY phone is definitely better.... Congratulations YOU WIN!!

Don't misunderstand this thread, please. I'm sorry if you were offended. I started this thread so we could make fun of the obvious things Apple devices are missing that mostly all other devices have. Name one device other than the iPhone that can't share files via bluetooth. Most people can't even name one device. I hope you start to understand. The name of the thread doesn't explain all.

" Administration officials said Mr. Froman?s decision was made without involvement by Mr. Obama or his senior aides in the White House. A 2005 executive order signed by President George W. Bush delegates the authority to act in cases like this to the United States trade representative, officials said."

Why did you ask a question you already knew the answer to? Did you even read the article?

When he asked for the link I tried to find one and I randomly posted one. The article on Flipboard said something else.

Thank you for the clarification, I in all honesty respect your choice of going with Android but the title of the thread just irritated me. Not all iPhone users "iSheeps", as I said before I am a technology guy and when I used Android my phone became another IT project, rooting, installing different ROM everyday, I really do not consider my phone to be a project, I have plenty of those already.

File transfer via BT, meh, not that important to me, I need a device that works out of the box with no need to customize because again, my phone is just a tool, not a hobby! I would rather have a phone that works every time even if it does not have all the bells and whistles (iPhone) over a phone with all the bells and whistles that locks up on me while trying to place a 911 call (Android, true story).

Youre acting like iPhones dont lock up.... Get real.... Both devices lock up maybe once a month. I have seen it plenty of times on the precious iPhone.
Also the Nexus work straight out the box. No need to add anything to it or customize it. Google thought of everything and made it all syncable through the cloud... just like the iPhone.
Its just preference. You didnt make one valid point.

Haha, um, I've seen plenty of iPhone's freeze up, and specifically three of my friends have had big problems with lockups and battery issues with their 5's.

Wake up from this dream and stop kidding yourself. Both platforms have pros, cons, and issues.

You can take any Android device out of the box and it works just fine, same as the rudimentary iPhone's. Customization is available on Android devices, meaning users have the option to customize if they so choose (no such freedoms are granted to iPhone users).

I can certainly tell you my Nexus 4 has functioned far better than iPhone's it's been compared with, in regards to both stability and fluidity.

Oh how I dream of the day when we all can be a big happy tech loving family with varying platform preferences.
