Why we hate Apple!!!

Uh, your charger is included as part of the one year standard warranty. (Or longer, depending where you live) All you have to do is schedule an appointment at the Genius bar and they'll give you a new one. (I know, because I've done it with a macbook charger, which is significantly more expensive at $80.)

I can't complain about apples customer service. No other company will do on site swaps of devices like they will, which is helpful if you have an iPhone and it stops working. (Or laptop, etc) I've also had two laptops with issues (one the graphics chip went bad, the other had a screw hole that was misdrilled) and they replaced them on the spot with brand new units, even though one was almost three years old.

My warranty on my iPad mini lasted only 30 days, including tech support and they didn't include the charger. The nearest store was miles away, it's far away enough that we only go to that city once a year and I've never been to the apple store in my life. That charged ?20 for a new charge and a pound or two's postage. Google's customer service is better even though it is limited.

No back button.

They want you to go forward not backwards. Nb their back button is at the top of the screen on all the apps from the last time I used a iPhone.

That may be your apple experience, but their customer support on my apple computers over tbe yeard has been fantastic. That is when I have rarely had to use it anyway. I hope the support I get from Samsung on this phone is as good.

You might not like the apple store, but because of it you can normally get a problem solved on the spot. In a lot if cases a no hassle straight replacement in fact.

That's weird, Apple's warranty is usually more comprehensive in most of the EU than it is in the US. What country are you in?

I've got to agree. I had a week old iMac replaced on the spot after I noticed some slight yellowing on the display. The hard drive in my wife's MBP was replaced within an hour when is started throwing SMART errors. The AppleCare warranty on my iPhone paid for itself when the power button started acting up right before I resold it.

That's all predicated on being near an Apple Store, though. I don't think Jlav78 ever said he didn't like the Apple store, just that it was far away. If it's far away enough from you that it's easier to mail stuff it really doesn't help you out. That said, I'm still really surprised about the warranty thing. It looks like pretty much all of Europe has at least a one year warranty on the iPad mini, including the UK:
Apple - Legal

Your warranty is a year at least, longer depending which country you're in. Just like all of apples products.

I still believe that Technology is considered more advanced when it's made more easy to use. And in a intellectual minded forum like this, using words like "*****" is in no way appealing.
The solution he gave was already known to me, & already recommended by others. He had nothing new to say.
However, in the end, the issue remains same: Android offers more control over your phone in Easier steps than iphone.

You seem to have a lot of attitude for someone asking for help.

I am an hour away from the closest Apple store so I don't LIKE to go. But, it's nice to have the option. To know you can make an appointment, and more than likely have your problem resolved on the spot is a great option to have available. It makes it worth a long drive IMO. I'd rather do that drive than have to ship pretty much any device personally.

As you said, as far as I know Apple's standard warranty on all items, even an iPod, is 1 year. I don't really understand the 30 day thing mentioned either.

Opinions become Attitude when you don't agree with them. I never asked for help. I expressed my opinion & others expressed their's.

When what you post is patently incorrect, don't be surprised when others correct you.

That's your opinion. You are entitled to it.

Not my opinion at all. You posted something about apples ecosystem that was false, and you were corrected.

I don't need to get into the whole discussion with you again. If someone is to correct me, I would search for someone worthy enough to be sought correction from. Until then, you are entitled to express your opinion & I shall respect your opinion. You don't like it, stop replying & find someone else who is more receptive to you. This is my last reply to you or anyone of yours' on this subject.

Google's customer service is better even though it is limited.

I had both a Nexus 4 and an iPhone 5 replaced under warranty by their respective companies, and I'd have to say the customer service was roughly equal. However, working with Apple was much more convenient. There's an Apple store just a 15 minute drive from my house. I made an appointment online, went in at the appointed time, and within 15 minutes I walked out with a new phone. Google's customer service used the phone, email, and shipping. Yes, it was as good of service as can be expected using those methods, but I much preferred dealing with Apple. I guess you could say that Apple's system cost me a bit of gas since I had to drive a total of 20 miles (10 miles each way), whereas Google's system didn't cost me a penny. However, it was a small price to pay for the convenience!

Apple didn't harm me or my family so I have no valid reason for "hating" them.

Though I wish they would put expandable storage, removable batteries on their devices and re produce the iPhone 4 & 4S as REAL budget devices. Perhaps add a plastic construction.
