Why when i plugging in my phone it doesn't comes on or take hours to reach 5%

[Android Central Question]

My phone went completely dead on my a20s because it would not charge, so when I tried plugging it in it was at 0% and then a battery thing came up with a green color around the circle and for about a second and then goes dead again or sometimes charge backwards

Can anyone help me or ever experienced this ?

Have you tried different cable and charger?

The charger, charging lead, charging port, battery, or something else, is presumably bad.

Try first a different lead, after cleaning the port if needed.
