why will my galaxy watch not work away from my phone.

When i look at the settings screen and i'm away from my phone, it does say "Standalone-Sprint" on the bottom. I wonder what the heck the deal is!

Functionality issues here seem to be coming consistently from Sprint customers. My guess would be that the solution lies in switching to a different service provider. Sprint may be cheaper, but you DO usually get what you pay for.
