why will my tablet not charge anymore

Help!!!!! I bought a Asus Zenpad 10 Z300 series 3 weeks ago and I am travelling. It charged fine until two days ago. I left it on and was away from it when it gave the low warning. It shut down and I put it on charge but now it will not do so. The cable is good and I have tried different chargers. I connected the original and it shows that it is taking charge but the battery percentage does not lift and the low battery symbol on start up flashes between red and green but not the full symbol. Only a portion of it.
What can I try?

Welcome to Android Central! How do you know the cable is good -- did you try it on a different device? Did you try a different charging cable as well?
