Why won't my gallery/ camera work properly?

Every time I take a picture, the camera immediately closes they the screen shows "unfortunately, gallery has stopped working". Said picture is nowhere to be found in the actuall gallery. It also is affecting other apps. I try to tape a video on instagram and the app closes as soon as I finish taping it.

There might be errors within the apps my suggestion would be if you have an SD card in the phone remove the SD card back up whatever you can and reset the phone. Also please let us know what model phone you have ?
