why won't my home screen wallpaper on my android phone change even when I am changing it ?

[Android Central Question]

So I am trying to change my home screen wallpaper from the default one , to the one from my gallery , but it isn't changing . I click on "set as home screen wallpaper" but my wallpaper is the same as before (the default one) . It's the first time it's happening .I don't know if it has something to do with it , but I downloaded the app "my icon" to change my phone theme (before the problem with my wallpaper) and I already deleted the app . I also did reboot my phone but nothing has changed . Sorry for my English , and thanks in advance .

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps​, tap Menu, then Reset All App Preferences. Now try setting your wallpaper again.

Does this happen with another picture in your gallery?

I don't have "apps" , I looked into all apps settings , but there isn't an "apps" with a menu , I can only find "app management" , but I don't think that's it , there isn't even a menu there .

Yes , it happens with any picture .
p.s I decided to see the comments of the app "my icon" and there where some people with the same issue , so it must be because of the app , but like , isn't there any solution ?

Yes , it happens with any picture .

Try resetting your gallery incase of a glitch , to do that long press the gallery icon then tap info and go to storage and clear data then force stop it

Welcome to the forums. Which way are you trying to set the wallpaper, from the gallery or from the settings?
