Why won't my microSD card work in my Samsung Galaxy S5?

I have used a 64gb sd card in my Verizon S5 since day one. Then I got the bright idea to upgrade to the 128gb card. Well that didn't work at all! Bottom line is 64gb is the max you can use on the S5 for now.

I've had a 128G microSD in my S5 long enough I don't remember when it went in. Probably on day 2 of owning the phone. Be sure the microSD is formatted with the right file system: "exfat". Read the original microSD with Windows Explorer on a PC, looking at properties. It'll list the FS. Format the big microSD to the same file system, and you should be good to go. Fat32 won't go beyond 32G. There is a way around this, but stay with exfat.
