Welcome to Android Central! Doesn't sound good. Try removing the battery for 10 seconds and reinserting it, and hold the Power button for at least 10 seconds. Do you hear any sounds, or feel the phone vibrate? If so, and the screen is still black, then it's probably just the screen that broke. If nothing happens at all, it could be something as minor as a broken power button, or as major as a damaged motherboard.
