Why won't my Zenfone 2 boot?

[AC Question]

My zenfone 2 will not boot

I had my phone rooted, and did a system update without realizing you cant do that if you're phone is rooted. So the asus logo and the loading sign appear, but it does nothing beyond that point. I would just do a factory reset from recovery, but i cant get into recovery in the first place! i have tried all the ways to but it just wont happen. So now im stuck, please help!

I'd ask how to recover on XDA.
I'm pretty sure someone over there could lead you in the right direction.

This is the risk of rooting.

The problems you get when rooting and forgot to unroot before ota. IMHO, ZF2 is already fast and even with some bloatware attached to it, i dont even feel any lag or slow down. Its nice to customize phone but then again as the saying goes... If it aint broken dont fix it.

Same happen to me, just pushed update by accident lol
Solution for me was to hold the power button on till phone turn off and then power back on... It worked but would also try power and volume up for sometime.
