Why won't Note 8 able to setup smart plug

I have smart plugs that I can't setup with my note 8 but can setup with wires iphone.

Any smart device that gets setup on our home wifi using my note 8 will fail but if use any other phone it works as it should. I only have a 2.4ghz wireless network. I know a lot of the smart devices wont work on 5ghz.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is the brand, model # etc of the smart plugs?

And does it have an app? Most smart devices like smart plugs and bulbs require an app made by the manufacturer.

I feel like there may be a language issue here so if I’m misunderstanding, I apologize.

Basically, any smart device I have uses an app or hub with an app. For example, most of my plugs work with Alexa. I use the Alexa app on either the Note or iPhone to control them. Same with light switches or other electronics.

It’s also possible to use google home or Samsung smart things. I hope that helps. Good luck.
