Why would my phone do a master reset on it own - Note 4?

Around 9:30 last night I plugged in my phone to charge it and laid it next to me. After 5 or 10 minutes, I looked over and it was starting up as if brand new. It continued until I had lost all of my contacts, pictures, apps, etc. I'm not even sure where to look for my backed up data. Any advice? I've only had it about five months..........Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you have to go through the whole Setup Wizard again? Could it be that you entered some kind of Guest Mode or Guest Profile instead?
