so, I'm assuming if you are downloading/surfing the web/etc. that being connected to a wi-fi network would be better for battery life than not. But what about in standby? Wi-fi is available at my workplace, just got it setup, now I just need to know if I should leave it on all the time or just toggle when I'm going to use large amounts of data?

Oh, and my battery life has been pretty good. I assumed it would be worse, coming from a dumb phone and not being used to having to charge everyday. That said, I abhor social networking so I do not have things like facebook and twitter draining my battery.

Honestly, your choice on what you want to do, all I can tell you is that wifi will always cause less drain on your battery than the cell signal will, if you've been having good battery the wifi will only make it better
