Wi-Fi Calling ... I need a simple answer please ...

I don't believe so. T-Mobile's WiFi calling usually requires their bloat to work. I only have seen it work without their bloat via Android Marshmallow (6.0). My Nexus 6P can do it but I am not 100% certain if this will be the same for other devices once they get Android M.

Yes you're right; my brother has the 6P and Wi-Fi calling works on it via T-Mobile. So I figured it would also be a feature available to be toggled off/on Samsung devices.
Call T-Mobile's customer support and ask them at 1-877-746-0909.
I already called T-Mobile before starting the thread; they gave me a vague answer "we can't guarantee Wi-Fi calling will work or not."

I thought Samsung phones have Wi-Fi Calling feature in settings that can simply be toggled off/on.

I'm currently using an Unlocked iPhone 6s that I purchased from The Apple Store and Wi-Fi calling works just fine on that so don't see why it wouldn't work on an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge Plus.

This is because Apple worked with T-Mobile to have it installed on all iPhones. The Operating System works with it. For Android usually the T-Mobile bloat is needed except for the case of Android M --- where Google has built WiFi calling in and the carriers can allow that to be used without the need for extra bloat. The new Nexus devices handle it but I am not sure how a non-nexus device will work with Android M (whenever it gets it or whichever).

I don't believe the Edge is on Android M yet is it? Once it is that is when we could test but we won't know for sure.

That is a nonsense answer, yeah

Funny you mention that because this article was released today ... T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ And Note 5 Now Getting New Update : PERSONAL TECH : Tech Times

Looks like it still isn't Android M (6.0) according to the article.

Clients of T-Mobile who purchased one of Samsung's 2015 flagship handsets received a new software update, but it is not the taste of Android that they expected.

The current update is far from the being the Android 6.0 Marshmallow that users crave for, but it is just as essential to the phones' health. It is a security update that targets safety vulnerabilities in Samsung's flagships.

The question though is -- once they get Android M will it have WiFi calling like the 6P / 5X? No one knows for sure. It depends if Samsung keeps it in there.
