I have been using my S9+ for a few months now, and being the nitpicky individual I am, I have been trying endlessly to remove the "activate service" notification.

It truly seemed that there was no way to remedy this notification... Until today! I took out my Verizon sim and put in my Google Fi sim card!

Now.. The notification remained, until I installed the Google Fi app, at which point it gave me an opportunity to dismiss the "activate service" notification.

Hopefully someone will find this thread when they're looking for a solution to this problem!

Stay safe in these crazy world. Thankfully we have one of the best phones on the market.

Welcome to Android Central and thanks for the tip! Another thing you could've tried would be to turn on Airplane Mode, then turn wi-fi back on.
