To get the Wi Fi to search for locations, under settings, I have to turn off the Wi Fi and then turn it on again before it will successfully scan for locations. Why do I have to keep turning it on and off to make it work?
Thanks.
EH

Im slightly confused on what you mean. To get locations for what exactly and do you mean you have to fully turn off wifi and then turn it back on?

I think OP is talking about available networks not automatically showing up. I like to use a 3rd party app, such as Wifi Manager to be able to select a Wifi network at any time. Something like this may solve your problem.

I know what the OP means. Over the last couple weeks my home wifi will sometimes not connect. I have to disable wifi, re-enable and it connects fine. It won't connect no matter how many times I click it. If I try to scan it will be gone. It never used to behave this way.

Mine does same thing, obviously a minor bug but still annoying . Just disable and then turn back on and its fine.

I had this same problem on my first phone but haven't noticed it yet on my new 32gb SIII. What I do notice now is my Wi-Fi turns off by itself sometime during the night. When I wake up every morning I have to turn it back on. Anyone else experience this? I also notice both of my SIII's don't get very good wi-Fi reception. My 32gb is better than my first phone but not by much.

Had the problem with it not picking up my home wireless network. I had to go into manage networks, delete everything in there, rescan and it picked up all the available networks like it should. For some reason the networks that were in there wouldn't allow it to scan for new ones.

I have had this issue as well, I cannot connect to a network unless I turn wifi off and on again, it's been going on for a while a bit annoying.

I recently switched to Verizon from Sprint. The service while not home is amazing, while I am home though I use wifi. CONSTANTLY having to turn off wifi and use 4G to load Web pages. What the heck is wrong with the wifi radio in this phone. While on wifi I get no Internet connection, website may be offline or had moved yada yada yada. Any fixes out there? 3rd party or from Samsung?

I've recently noticed mine is doing the same thing. Interesting. Not a big deal and more annoying than anything else. I wonder why it's doing this all of a sudden?

I will add "Yup, me too..." Wasn't a problem for me and I thought "...this is much better than how my Original Galaxy S behaved...." but now it's back to the same ol' same ol'.... Not every time but enough times that it's annoying enough. Oh well... and so it goes.
