Wi - fi staying on

Not sure if this is the right place to put this. I have a Verizon s4 that I'm using on Straight Talk . A couple of days ago I noticed the Wi - fi was on so I shut it off but it won't stay off. I've tried everything I can think of and it just keeps coming back on. Any idea's?

Have you tried to making a restart on your device?

Yes I did. It didn't make a difference.

Go into settings and to the WiFi area and make sure the Auto Connect box is unchecked.
