Anyone else experiencing general WI-FI wonkiness?

Most notably, the signal seems to drop quite a bit, than have trouble re-engaging.

Aside from that, I often notice that it often tries to automatically engage with random WI-FI networks (though my settings dictate the opposite).

I would rather not reformat the phone, but it's growing beyond an annoyance.

I've only been using the Note 8 for about 10 days, and I noticed in one room of my house the WiFi signal seems to be terrible and never had that problem with my iPhone. We have a Netgear Orbi which has been outstanding for blanketing the house with coverage. Haven't had a chance to try and diagnose it.

The N8 definitely has a worse antenna versus other phones. I bought a house several months ago that needed a lot of work, so I'm basically in the same Home Depot using my phone to do research and price checks every few days. For the last few months I've never had any problem at all getting a 4G signal with my Moto Z Force anywhere in the store, but now when I go in with my N8 it constantly has a problem getting a signal. I have to keep walking towards the entrance every few minutes to get a page to refresh. This happens every time, not just on one visit. It's very frustrating.

No absolutely no problems here, away in spain at the moment and also fine over here, hotspot works perfect too for the other half to connect through me, wifi or mobile data
