WIfi and Mobile Data on

Will the Note 9 default to wifi whenever connected, even though mobile data is turned on? I leave mobile data turned on and wifi is enabled. I would rather connect through the wifi whenever home. I didnt know if this works on Note 9. Or do I need to disable mobile data whenever home?

I can answer that for you as I do the same thing. At home, I have both mobile data and Wi-Fi turned on and i have downloaded Good Lock and with location turned on all the time, my Wi-Fi turns off automatically when I leave home.

To answer your question, when you're at home with both data and Wi-Fi on, you're using Wi-Fi. Don't worry, as long as Wi-Fi is connected, you won't use mobile data except for things like SMS attachments and live messages.

One quick note...under WiFi settings there is a choice for aggressive hand off from WiFi to cellular if your WiFi connection is not good.

I think most people keep this off. If you are concerned about cellular data, you may want to make sure this is off as well.
