I feel I've made the worst decision in my life having just purchased the Samsung S10+!
I'm limiting this entry to the one above...authentication error occurred. My old phone has no problem recognizing my router, printers, and tv. I bring home this new phone and I get the error message, without any idea of why, or what to do?

I searched for earlier answers, and I did find one, but when I clicked on it, all that showed up was a bunch of what appeared to be webpage coding.

I'm massively disappointed with this phone so far......any help, suggestions, will be most appreciated!! And I thank one and all in advance....

Oh, I saw the other suggestion to go to: settings>wifi, select the connection and then click "forget" and reinstall. When I did this, all that happens is the phone attempts to reconnect with the wifi, with the resulting error msg. I don't know if I do not understand these instructions, or, the Sam S10+ menu selections differ from the Galaxy model.

You can try forget your network and restart the phone see if it works , and still issue try clear cache in recovery, if still fails try safe mode . Then after these can go on see if it's your router issue.

Thanks mustang....I just picked up my phone........once again.......and now, all of a sudden, I AM connected to my wifi!!! i did NOTHING to the phone since I laid it down to submit my question??? I don't know why it decided to connect all of a sudden after dozens of tries to connect all afternoon?
Again, thanks Mustang......I hope it will behave from now on!

Glad to hear it's working again!
Your welcome

Thanks BD, I've noticed the recommendation to tap the connection and then tap "forget" etc. When I get the the point/place where I tap on the connection, I do not get that window that asks to "forget"! it just kept going back to "trying to connect" after which I would get the error msg. I PRAY that I don't have this as a reoccurring problem. I'm wondering if since it was a new phone, there is a lot of "stuff" going on inside when it shows up at a new location, or if it might still be "setting up" or "initializing"? Thanks for you help, I've book marked your suggestion!!
