Anyone know how I can fix this? I am rooted and using DasBamf Gingerbread sense 3.0 RC 4.9 rom and I love it to death. Only problem is my phone will not connect to wifi even after it shows a connection after scanning for signal. Is there something I'm missing?

Have you tried to connect to more than just one wireless network??? If it's only one, you might think about rebooting that router... by reboot I mean unplug it for about a minute, then plug it back in and wait for a minute for it to boot up.

Yes ive tried with several networks, its definitely not a router issue. Im pretty upset about this too as there are times i really need to use wifi.

Then bring it back... it's still within the first your warranty... they will at least give you a refurbished one.

Well, asssuming it's not an issue that is just assocated with the ROM he's running...

It could be one of 3 things:

1. hardware defect
2. radio defect
3. ROM defect

I can confirm that WIFI does work* on my device with BAMF 4.9, but you may have had something go wrong with the install.

*Of course, on every GB ROM I've ever run, my device always shuts WIFI (and ALL data) off when the screen goes into standby when I use WIFI, so I usually do not. Never had this issue with any FROYO roms.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by that?

In other words, I turn WIFI on...and everything works fine, at first. But when I set the phone down, and the screen goes dark...and so does my phone. No emails come in, no apps update, nothing...no data at all.

If I turn WIFI off, everything is back to normal.

(And yes, I have checked to make sure that I have wifi set to "always on" under advanced settings).

Seems to only do it on GB roms -- I've tried various different radios, each with the same result.

I even created a thread about it...
