Wifi, connected, no internet

Using a Redmi Note 7, when connecting to weak wifi sources I get connected, no internet. I've been googling this for about an hour and can't find a solution.

Currently sitting in a campground where my mother's Iphone connects and works but mine doesn't. I've forgotten the wifi and turned off the wifi multiple times. Still does it. Any suggestions? Is the thing that connects to wifi just weak in this phone, since it's a budget phone?

That's not unusual -- sometimes one device can be a little better than another in terms of weak wi-fi signal. Do you have a case on? If so, try taking the case off.
