WIFI Connection error message

My Galaxy SIII won't connect to the wifi. I get a message that says "network disabled because internet connection is slow."
This just started happening this week at two locations that used to work every time.. How can I make my phone connect?

We had that issue and I think the fix was to go into the Wi-Fi settings and the the advanced Wi-Fi settings to turn off auto network switching and make sure Wi-Fi is set to always stay on when phone is asleep. Sorry I don't know the exact steps, but I don't have it with me right now to check.
