Hi there. I have 2 days to return this phone to Amazon. I'd rather not because overall I like the phone. It's a Huawei Mate SE and I've had it about a month. I'm having issues connecting to wifi. Check that, it connects to wifi fine but the link speed is really slow compared to other items connected on the 2.4 range.

Any ideas what I can attempt to change settings wise with my phone or does it have a wifi signal issue? The router is a brand new motorola router and everything else connected to it seems to be working fine.

Thanks for any help you can give.

The link speed or the download speed? They're two different things. The link speed is the theoretical maximum speed at which data can be transmitted via the router (which depends on which type of wireless protocol the connection is using -- b, g, n, or ac; and also how far away the phone is from the router). The download speed depends on your ISP's plan, how many devices are currently connected to the network, and how much bandwidth is being used.

See this guide for some ideas: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html

That's what I'm concerned about. Is the link speed messed up on my phone. It's always down near the 5000-6000 kbps range when I check my router. Even my daughters old iphone 6 is at 24000. Am I at least right in that my phone should be showing more than 6000 most of the time? My wifes old Galaxy s7 shows 144000 a lot of the time.

Link speed is usually measured in Mbps. Where are you seeing yours displayed?

How far from the router is the phone when you're checking its link speed?
