Hi folks

I've got a UK Nexus 6 via O2 and all of a sudden, the wifi isn't working (it was fine a few hours ago)!

It has a '!' symbol next to it; I've access to both 2.4 and 5Ghz channels, so I've forgotten both, rebooted the phone and connected to them, but still the same

It says it's connected, but it's not working!

I've rebooted the Virgin Broadband SuperHub 2 and the Nexus 6, but still no go!

FYI, my iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 Plus and both Apple TV's and my 2012 Mac Mini are connected with no issues!

Can anyone help?

Thanks

What do your Advanced WiFi settings look like?

Do you have "WiFi frequency band" set to "Automatic"? Or to one or another of the two frequencies?

Do you have "Network notification" and "Scanning always available" set to ON or Off?

Those are the settings I'd tinker with first.

Have you tried to use an app or brows the internet?
I may be wrong but i thought the ! merely meant that you were having connectivity issues with google services.

Thanks for the reply folks

I'm not sure whats been going on, but it all seems to be fine now

Another lot of reboots and resets and the '!' has gone!

Very odd for it to have just appeared!

That is my understanding as well. The ! icon denotes that, while connected, it can't 'phone home'. It does a connectivity check when it connects to either WiFi or mobile, and I can only assume that involves checking that it can connect to Google servers. If you can't, you get the "!"
