Ok...so I tried a search but couldn't find anything specific to the incredible so here it goes....
When I laid my MacBook Pro and Incredible directly next to each other they get the following results from speedtest:
MBP: 16.8MBPS Down/ 6 MBPs up
HTC Inc: 1.5 MBPS Down/ 6 MBPS up
It is a Linksys WRT160N. I have my router set to N broadcast only, so I know they are both connected as such. Also at my friends house, I believe a Netgear N router, my phone gets 6+MBPs down on his WiFi.
What do you think is causing this? Is there a fix?
Things I have ruled out/tested:
1.distance from router/signal strength. Both items are sitting next to each other
2.One is at G, one on N. My IPod touch cannot connect to my router because it does not have N, so G is not broadcast. Plus the speeds of the laptop show me it has to be on N
3.Comcast issue: again laptop speeds are fine
4.Phone wifi issues: speed at friends house well above 6 MBPs which would be perfectly acceptable to me
Thanks for any help or input you can offer.
Joe
