wifi issues

as of late my wifi has not been working correctly. ive been able to connect and browse websites very quickly but in some instances, it down not work correctly. for instance google will load, but if i try to search, it will not work. i did a speed test and found that uploading was not working correctly. i get about 4000 kbps down and 30-80 kbps upload. ive tried this on two different networks, both are usually fast.

i first noticed this after i installed cm6.1 w/snap turbo. i figured, it must be the turbo so i tried restoring to several other nand backups, none of those changed anything. i also tried a complete wipe, and flash jk-stockrooted. i also tried re-flashing the newest radio, but nothing. any help?

I would try maybe go into /system/lib/modules/ and delete everything either with adb or root explorer then reflash a rom or flash a new kernel.There might be a issue were the modules didn't copy over correctly and is causing problems.

tried it but nothing. what do you think about flashing a pc36img and unrooting and then rerooting?

im going to play dumb here since i've been in dumb mode all day... correct me if i'm wrong...

you're fully rooted
everything used to be fine
you flashed cm6 and now can't connect to a wifi and browse the web

My thoughts are... the cache is what is "loading" the google page.

Are you trying to tether or are you trying to connect to someone or your own wifi network and thats where the issue occurs?

and your not talking about the WiMax (4G) correct?

no, i still do not know what the problem was, but i got it fixed. I flashed the stock rooted another time (including wipes) and for whatever reason this time it worked. i cant go back to my old rom/setup but thats ok, i did a titanium restore for most of the stuff.

and in reply to you, my wifi was working, but not correctly. i could load most websites very quickly. it wasnt only google that wasnt working though, it was many sites that needed to do any sort of upload. i used a speed test to confirm that my upload was indeed 'broken'. after restoring to my old rom and flashing new roms, my upload still was not working. it is now though so im happy.

please any help would be greatly appreciated!! i tried unrooting my phone and returning to stock but it was a no go. im starting to think its a hardware problem. could this be possible? my download is working perfectly, just no wifi upload.
