Wifi on then off - constantly

So the last two days I noticed the Wifi icon in the quick settings would turn on briefly then back off.... like the Wifi was scanning.

I figure this can reduce battery life so I started looking around and found that it was because the Wifi was trying to help location. I never noticed this before. So I started playing with settings and went into the settings menu --> Location --> Improve Accuracy and turned off Wifi scanning. As soon as I did this it stopped.

If you scroll the notification drawer down and have Wifi as one of your Quick toggles you will see it in there. LMK if you see the same thing and it fixes the issue. I am on a Verizon S7 Edge.

Yeah I've been having that issue as well. It's new though. I had never had it in the past. I figured that solution out as well. It was getting annoying.

Just started getting this yesterday on my S7 Edge plus.

Basically about the same time my note 5 started doing it. Always having to make sure, before youtube/netflix is starting to suck.

I think I found a solution, well it works for me. Check your WiFi setting and see if there is a password for 5G, if there is remove it. That fixed the issue for me.
