WiFi Problem

I am in a hotel in Brazil and I am having trouble connecting my Dinc to the WiFi on my floor. My PC connects with no problem in my room and my Dinc will connect to WiFi in the lobby, just not in my room. Do you guys have any suggestions as to how to fix this? I also had issues connecting to WiFi on the plane with my Dinc so I think something is going on.

I have no idea. Since nobody speaks English, it's hard to say. What I do know is that the first few hours I was in my hotel room, I had no issues with the WiFi on the Dinc. I even made a Skype call over WiFi. My Dinc will connect to the wireless network, it just can't see the internet. My PC has no issues whatsoever. I just don't know why the Dinc stopped seeing the internet all of a sudden.

Silly as it sounds, try re-booting the phone. If it was working and now it's not it might just be a glitch in the IP stack that is not renewing the ip.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did reboot, but it didn't solve the problem.

OK - Wierd. Try removing the network from the phone's "memory"

Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings -> Long Press Network Name -> Forget Network

Then re-boot phone and try to connect again.

Hope this get's it!

Still no luck with this. The funny thing is, when I woke up this morning, there were e-mails that were received by the phone during the night. However, when I tried to access the internet, it was a no go. Then I tried syncing with my exchange e-mails and again, no go. This is a mystery!

Nope, no task killers on this Dinc.

I'm back in the US of A, but never solved the WiFi issue in Brazil. I guess it will remain a mystery.

You sure you have the dinc and not the dx ?, lol becuz that sounds more like how my dx is on wifi's in USA since 2.2 update.Shame on you motorolla.

Seriously tho it might be something weird with their router to bad you can't reboot it or find more info about (unless your sneaky..<---joking ).

Finally got it working. As I suspected, it was really the router and not the Dinc. It was just weird that that the laptop worked and the Dinc wouldn't.
