WIFI [problem]

I just bought an LG Aristo and it will not connect to WIFI nor will it allow the mobile hotspot to work. I have WIFI at home with a password, I tried several times to activate the wifi and it automatically turns off. No option to join networks nor does it list the surrounding wifi networks.
When I select mobile hot spot, I slide the button to reflect "on" and it just slides right back to "off" again. The wifi does this as well. HELP!

I don't understand why some people insist on typing in meaningless gibberish in the subject line of their posts. It seems to me that they would get a quicker response by posting a meaningful, informative subject line. Just saying...

The "meaningless gibberish" were not there when I originally submitted my question and appeared after it was posted. Regardless of which my question was not answered.

If someone has a useful response please reply. I have tried to troubleshoot my phone with the carrier and they are unable to correct the issue.

What type of security are you using on your network?

my network at home requests a password. But when I try to turn on the wifi option on my phone it does not even list the near by networks and automatically switches back to off. The same goes for the mobile hotspot.

Try resetting your router or modem first. If that doesn't work, you may need to change your WiFi password. I encountered authentication errors when I was using asterisks in my password. Other special or unicode characters may cause this problem...

I have no way to change the WIFI password as it was my roommates before they moved and I do not have a computer. I will try to reset the WIFI, its weird that all of my other devices have no issues with the wifi router. even my old phone connected instantly without issue. seems to be this phone. May have to return it and get a new one.

I'll also move the thread to the Site Feedback forum so that attention can be given to what now seems to be a problem of nonsensical titles. There have been a number of these of late, and some members have thought that they might be a new attention-grabbing tactic. I apologise for assuming that you were doing that, or being exceptionally careless with your typing.
