Wifi problems on resume?

Are other people having problems with wifi connectivity on resume?

I am trying to figure out if its my Nexus 7 or my wifi setup that has the issue.

When my Nexus goes into sleep mode (screen shuts off) when I wake it up, the wifi icon is grey and I have no connectivity. I have to turn wifi off and back on to get my connection back.

I have occasional WiFi connectivity issues too. Mine may be related to wakeup, but because it is intermittent, I have not isolated the problem that far.

My Nexus 7 will be unable to connect to my downstairs router, even when both are in the same room, while it can attach to the weak upstairs router. The Nexus will sometimes show the downstairs router as having full signal until it tries to connect, then it will drop the router from the available list for a few minutes and when it reappears it has no signal strength. At the same time, my iPhone, laptop computer and WiFi printer will all work just fine.

The connectivity issue goes away after a day or so for no reason that I can discern.

it might have a similar setting like my GS2. Whenever my screen is off the phone stops searching for wifi to save battery. Check your setting and see if you can find something similar to this.

Make sure you don't have WiFi set to turn off when it goes to sleep. There is a setting, if you want it on all the time, set WiFi sleep to never.
