Help! The Wifi setting window keeps appearing and it also keeps scanning. I wouldn't be surprised if I have some setting wrong, but I can't figure out what, and it's driving me crazy. "Notify me" is unchecked. "Auto-connect" is unchecked. "Keep Wifi on during sleep" is "Always". "Check for Internet service" is unchecked (no difference if it is checked). I am getting "very strong" signal strength. What am I missing? Thanks. -- Roy

So to clarify, you're saying your wifi settings app is popping up no matter what you do/. That's a new one for me. I've never heard of such a thing. Perhaps you should try a factory reset.

Basically, yes. No matter what I do, unless I switch off wifi, and sometimes even then, depending on settings, it keeps popping up. I would hate to do a factory reset because the effort required to move back in. I have tried restart, cold start, and battery pull. Nothing helps. Is there some setting I'm missing?

What carrier? If you are on Sprint go under settings, mobile networks, and ensure the Sprint Connection Optimizer or whatever it's called is turned off. This can keep turning your wifi on.

Mea Culpa. I am embarrassed (once again) to admit it was a problem I created with Tasker. Thanks for the help.
