WiFi sleeps when device is locked!

I too am suffering the Wifi Sleep/Idle/Standby disconnect issue.

For those of you just joining us.... despite having our Wifi settings to NEVER sleep, when the phone goes into sleep (either manually or by idling) the Wifi will disconnect from the server. In my instance, when I turn the phone back on, the Wifi will still be connected to the router, however, there will be no data throughput. If I manually disconnect and reconnect it works right away, but again will have the same issue upon sleep.

I read that there are some issues with the phone if its MAC address does NOT start with 00, however, I checked with 3 people who's address all begins with B4 (as does mine) and they do not seem to have this issue. So I do not believe that to be the case either. I really have no idea whats going on.

I updated to Froyo 2.2 DK28 and still had the issue. I have since then reverted to Eclair 2.1 DI18 and a fresh Sprint stock ROM. Still no luck.

I have tried using Juicedefender to no avail. I change my router's settings which is an Airlink101 running dd-wrt from WEP to WPA-tkip and it still doesn't work after sleeping.

Does anyone seem to know why this is happening?!
